  • Cristina Monet-Palaci (AKA Cristina Monet Zilkha), famous for her work on New York label ZE Records, has died from complications due to the novel coronavirus. The news was reported today by Dark Entries on Twitter today. The American artist was known for her new wave music released on legendary label ZE (whose cofounder Michael Zilkha she married), including its first release, "Disco Clone," produced by John Cale. She also put out popular covers of Peggy Lee's "Is That All There Is?" and The Beatles' "Drive My Car" and worked with producers like Don Was of Was (Not Was).
