  • Lost Souls of Saturn will premiere an hour of new ambient material as well as their film, Transmission, via a live stream event tomorrow, June 25th. The event—a collaboration between Seth Troxler & Phil Moffa's LSOS project, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) and MeanRed—will begin at 6 PM eastern time with an audiovisual mix consisting of an hour of unreleased material. Following the mix, LSOS and the video artists Aaron Kulik will premiere tier collaborative film project Transmission, which is scored by the duo's eponymous 2019 album for R&S. Transmission draws inspiration from the Detroit and New York techno and house scenes of the turn of the century and their contemporary and historic relationship to technology, activism and art. Following the 45-minute film, the live stream will conclude with a discussion and Q&A with Troxler, Moffa, Kulik and Elysia Borowy-Reeder from MOCAD. The live stream, which will air on Twitch and MOCAD's website, will run on a donation basis with proceeds going towards MOCAD's emergency fund for arts education and Detroit Heals Detroit, a charity picked out by Lost Souls Of Saturn.
