Nicolas Jaar has today launched a website dedicated to his next album, Telas.
The website (which is best accessed on Chrome) showcases the album "in its liquid state," Jaar says. The site, developed by Abeera Kamran in collaboration with Jaar and Somnath Bhatt, allows you to interact with Telas's different sonic elements.
Telas will be released digitally on July 17th. It'll be Jaar's third album of 2020, following an LP as Against All Logic and Cenizas, which was Jaar's first album under his given name since 2016.
Jaar spoke about Telas in his recent interview with RA. "The Against All Logic project has allowed me to make Cenizas," he said. "You get rid of anger and then you can mourn. And then after mourning, you can do what Telas does, which when you listen to it you'll understand. It's a process."
Other People will release Telas digitally on July 17th. It will come out on vinyl via Mana Records in October.
