  • Dexplicit's next EP is coming soon on E.M.M.A.'s label Pastel Prism. On Digital Monk, out August 17th, the UK producer and DXP label founder took inspiration from by old school video game quests. "I took it as an opportunity to explore some of the sounds I used to love as a kid," he says. "Knowing that it can't really be boxed into any genre is liberating" About the EP's second single, "Aerospace," out today, Dexplicit says, "I think the reason why this track is more solemn than the rest of EP is that I built it at the peak of lockdown. There was a lot going on. The whole world practically stopped, we'd never seen that before, I'd never felt that before. All we were hearing about was people were dying and that wildlife was coming out more, it was quite a weird place." Half of proceeds from EP sales will go to London youth charities such as the BIGKID Foundation, which provides music production facilities and education to young artists. Last month, Pastel Prism founder E.M.M.A. released Indigo Dream, her second album—seven years after her first, Blue Gardens. Listen to "Aerospace," out today.
