Slikback just released a new album on Bandcamp.
The 30-track LP, called ///, "is a reflection of different vibes and emotions that make me. It combines some of my newer complete works, sketches, early stuff and materials cut from previous releases and moods onto a single canvas," the Kenyan artist says in the accompanying notes.
It features a number of collaborations, including Uganda's Swordman Kitala, Germany's STSK and Poland's Morgiana Hz.
Update, September 4th, 20:56 BST: Slikback has dropped another 30-track album, /// II, as a name-your-price release on Bandcamp
/// is the second release from Slikback this year following his split EP with Soda Plains on PAN back in April. He's one of the core artists on Ugandan imprint Nyege Nyege Tapes (and its sub-label Hakuna Kulala), though this LP is self-released.
