- The five-track follow-up to her 2019 album, Death Becomes Her, is out on September 25th.
Angel-Ho will release her latest EP, Alla Prima, on Hyperdub this month.
The South African artist's five-tracker is her second release on Kode9's label after the 2019 album, Death Becomes Her, and it comes just months after her self-released LP Woman. Translating as "on first attempt," the label explains that Alla Prima incorporates one-take, freestyle vocals over productions by Bon, the London duo whose list of collaborations also includes Gaika and Mykki Blanco.
The EP, out September 25th, brings an experimental edge to hip-hop, a style Angel-Ho calls "hip-hop haute couture," and deals with themes like sex positivity, trans-mythology and the Black Lives Matter movement.
