- The series' last broadcast on Rinse France this week will raise money for artists around the region who have been affected by the pandemic.
Rinse France radio show CIRCA will end its first ten-week run of broadcasts on September 25th with a fundraiser for artists around Latin America.
The show, a concept also born from online magazine NSNS, shines a light on electronic music artists, communities and scenes around the Central and South American region, with an underlying purpose to raise funds for and support members of those scenes impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The tenth and final episode of the series beams out this week, gathering highlights from past shows and featuring a discussion with previously involved artists around the survival of the Latin American music community in the time of Covid-19. Past guests include g13ck, Acaptcha and the crew behind Mexico City party Pervert.
"Rinse France and NSNS are uniting their forces around CIRCA, a series of radio shows aiming at highlighting some essential local actors of the various musical scenes of Latin America," a Rinse France spokesperson says. "The Covid-19 crisis is particularly affecting these artistic communities & creatives, and this series of shows will help financially, and equally all artists involved in this program. This project also gives the opportunity to Rinse to showcase artists that we didn't have access to before and to showcase their work on an international platform."
In the lead-up to the broadcast, which takes place between 6 PM and 8 PM CET on September 25th, NSNS and Rinse France will be making a final push to raise €5,000, a sum that will be distributed between a list of artists and groups named here on the NSNS website.
