  • Michael Zucker, DJ, producer and head of the Finale Sessions label, has died after a two-year battle with colon cancer. With Finale Sessions, Zucker explored a spacious, deep house sound he'd gravitated towards since the early '90s, releasing enduring records from the likes of Fred P., Luke Hess, Terrence Dixon and Santiago Salazar, to name a few. The Orlando-based artist also worked closely with Chez Damier on the Balance Music Group on both the label administration and production side. Last year, Zucker released an album, Draw Closer, described as his life story in eight songs. Zucker battled with colon cancer for two years before succumbing on September 25th. His sister shared the news via Facebook. As he lacked health and burial insurance and his long battle with cancer drained his resources, a GoFundMe page has been launched to provide for funeral and burial expenses as well as a memorial service. To help Michael Zucker's family celebrate his life with a proper burial and memorial, donate to the GoFundMe here.
