The creative studio Chroma has released a second Source of Nurture compilation via Bandcamp.
Source Of Nurture Vol. 2 includes new music from Moor Mother, Ikonika, stud1nt, MHYSA, Mandy Harris, KeiyaA x Blvck Spvde and Fuck U Pay Us. Like the first instalment, it seeks to bring women of color artists together in order to fundraise and amplify the mission of various initiatives supporting BIPOC, immigrant and undocumented communities.
100 percent of the proceeds will go towards Egna Legna's work supporting Lebanese migrant workers with food, medicine and other resources; CIELO, an organization "creating substantive solutions to the social, economic and cultural challenges faced by the Indigenous community;" the Herbal Mutual Aid Network, which offers free, plant-based care to Black people; and BEACHHEAD, a documentary exploring "the American dreams of Brazilians," which sheds light on "the voices and stories of a largely undocumented community."
