  • Jam Music have boosted an already huge lineup for the Good Vibrations Festival 2006, with four new additions including Shaun Ryder and Kav (Happy Mondays), Jean Grae, Satoshi Tomiie and Paul Mac. Satoshi will only be appearing in Sydney and Perth, while Paul Mac will be exclusive to Sydney. The new acts are joining the atist and DJ lineup of James Brown (Godfather of Soul), Steve Lawler, Talib Kweli, DJ Marky feating Stamina MC, Norman Jay MBE, Z-Trip, Estelle, Bahamadia, FreQ Nasty, Switch, Nextmen, Datarock, The Cuban Brothers (10 piece), Lady Kier, Malente, Andy Caldwell and Dusted London. Happy Mondays’ frontman Shaun Ryder is also no stranger to doing things differently, from the heady days of the late 80’s/early 90’s UK ‘Madchester’ scene through to his current work with Gorillaz with the hit single “Dare”. Shaun continues his collaboration with Mondays’ guitarist Kav, and the pair will take to the decks for a unique, anything goes DJ and live set at Good Vibrations. They’re currently recording their first album in 13 years under Oasis’ own record label, which will be out soon. Jean Grae is a South African born, New York based hip hop artist. In late 2004, Jean released her second full length album ‘This Week’. It featured production from underground heavyweights 9th Wonder (Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child) and Midi Mafia (50 Cent), and propelled Jean into the mainstream with the track “P.S” added to rotation on Triple J. Jean has consolidated a burgeoning fan base with a sell-out tour of Australia in August 2005. The timing is perfect for Jean Grae to release her next project with producer 9th Wonder - the highly anticipated ‘Jeanius’ LP. Satoshi Tomiie is currently touring the country in support of his newest release, the first in the new 3D series from Renaissance.
