Following on from last years Jon Cutler and Hardsoul-mixed ‘Ten Years of Our House’ compilation, the burgeoning London-based label and management agency MN2S is set to continue its assault on global house circles this year with the of a new compilation series, 'Masterclass'.
The mix will hit shelves in April, following a high-profile launch in March at London’s End Club as part of MN2S’s 11th Birthday celebrations. Mixing and compiling volume 1 is Mousse T who, as a DJ, producer, remixer, radio presenter and owner of acclaimed Peppermint Jam Records, has been a driving force in the development of dance music for nearly 20 years. Speaking about the mix, he is evidently excited about the prospect of the series giving him a chance to cover the spectrum:“I love the fact that with Masterclass you can show the variety and background of all your records, you can show your roots and stuff, you can show where you’re coming from. I kinda like that, to show what I’m about, what the DJ is about. We know we love house music but that is not the whole story. When I started DJing 17 years ago, we used to play everything. We used to play rock, R&B, soul, funk, whatever; it was really fun.”
The series will aim to capture the two sides to a night; the club and after party.
