Expect a string of releases in the coming months from Germany's Tribehouse resident DJ and producer, Oliver Moldan, as he prepares to drop a new 12" on Audio Therapy, his debut artist album and a new mix compilation.
Having already had one release on Audio Therapy (last year's "Marraca$h") as the outfit Prawler along with production partner Peter Juergens, March sees the arrival of "Phat Laces, another prog stormer which should put an end to those European winter blues. Originally featured on "Renaissance: The Master Series Vol.7" mixed by Dave Seaman, the vinyl release includes two remixes, the more beefed up version, "Phatter Laces" (which will also appear on the forthcoming Audio Therapy Spring / Summer Edition 2006 CD), and a stripped back remix by German production outfit, Harada. Prawler will also see a brand new track "Get High" released on new German label Black Chrome.
In the past few months Moldan has also put the finishing touches to his debut artist album "Skin Deep", a 12-track long player forthcoming on German label Silly Spider. The album reflects the wide range of Moldan's production skills, from top-notch progressive and electro-tinged funk to more laidback break beat grooves.
Last but not least, earlier this month Oliver Moldan recorded his first ever mix compilation, "Live In Ukraine", which will have a release on Ukrainian label Send Records at the end of March, 2006. In contrast to the recent number of mixes made with Ableton Live or other software, on "Live In Ukraine", Moldan has gone for a more traditional approach to his DJ mix and has chosen some lesser-known production names to flesh out the compilation.
Oliver Moldan presents Prawler "Phat Laces" is released on Audio Therapy on March 27, 2006. Keep an eye out for his other releases on Black Chrome and Send Records.
