  • Long-running Bugged Out! night will team up with London record shop Phonica Records for a Sunday party at The Key on April 30th. There'll be no shortage of tunes - and most likely on vinyl to boot - when the Phonica record store and Bugged Out! join forces to present Haywire and Wrong Meeting's Andrew Weatherall, Treibstoff's Gabriel Ananda and C'io Dor, Ewan Pearson, Leftroom's Marc Ashken and of course Phonica allstars: Heidi, Simon Rigg, and Hector, at the joint event, When Bugged Out Met Phonica. Following a number of releases on German labels Treibstoff, Karmarouge and Platzhirsch, tech house producer Gabriel Ananda scored a surprise hit in 2005 with his release 'Ihre Persönliche Glücksmelodie'. Voted Number 2 in Germany's Groove Magazine Reader's Poll 2005 'Best Track' category, Karmarouge is currently running a remix competition in conjunction with FOEM Electronic Youth, inviting young producers to remix the Ananda anthem for a possible vinyl release on the forthcoming 'Glücksmelodie Remixes EP'. Ananda has since followed up the 12 inch with further strong releases including 'Bassmaschinchen (Part 1)' on Treibstoff and 'Harzer Roller' (a collaboration with Dominik Eulberg) on Traum. The Phonica all-stars have had recent high profile gigs at T-Bar and Fabric so expect to hear some upfront minimal, glitchy tech/electro and all things underground and dirty. When Bugged Out! Met Phonica takes place at The Key in London on April 30th, 2006.
