Border Community's Petter brings his hypnotic synths to Australian shores late September and early October.
Swedish upstart Petter first pricked up ears with the melancholic 'These Days' released on Dutch progressive label Deep, but since then he's also released two EPs on James Holden's Border Community label. The 'Six Songs' EP (2004) included everything from the lush warm breaks of 'Tone Diary' to the epic strings of 'All Together' while latest release 'Some Polyphony' has popped up in recent sets by Steve Bug and Superpitcher. Like Patrick Chardronnet, Petter is another of the European producers whose way with the build has earned him oodles of cred with both the proggers and the underground house and techno community.
In late September and early October, Sydney promoter Sweetchilli will bring Petter to Australia for the first time for a five-date national tour. Confirmed dates so far include Sydney, Melbourne and even hi-NRG capital Adelaide. Venues for the final two dates are still to be finalised.
