Ellen Allien & Apparat are touring North America in support of ‘Orchestra of Bubbles’ with live dates imminent in New York, Chicago, Toronto and Montreal.
Apparat is known for his ferocious approach to live laptopping, but on this tour he’s making makes space on the table for studio partner, Bpitch Control headmistress Ellen Allien. This year’s collaboration ‘Orchestra of Bubbles’ [review] [listen] has been widely acclaimed, and hotly anticipated shows promises a demonstration of how they translate their noisy tech trickery into live performance.
The New York date is a Robot Radio party, while the Toronto dates are the on-again-off-again superclub Circa. Apparat & Allien are playing in Montreal at the Electronic Groove Festival alongside Feadz & Uffie etc, while in Chicago the gig is a headline affair at the Smart Bar.

West Coasters shouldn’t completely despair though as Apparat will also be sticking around for a solo show at the Decibel Festival in Seattle on September 15.
