  • MP3 download store Trax2Burn is back in action with a newly-revamped website. RA is giving one lucky reader the chance to win £240 worth of downloads. Trax2Burn was one of the first MP3 download stores, launched back in 2003 by a small group of dance music lovers. Last week Trax2Burn launched their Version 2.0 store after six months of rejigging the site based on customer feedback. So what's new? Preview clips are now two minutes in length and encoded at a punchy 96kbps while all MP3s for download on Trax2Burn are 320kbps files. The audio player allows you to hear how tracks will sound in different parts of the room, from front and centre on the dancefloor to far back and left in your bedroom as the case may be. You can recommend tracks to friends or your favourite DJ using the "Send this track to a friend" function. Fancy yourself as a music critic? Submit reviews of tracks you've purchased and be in the running to win £10 of credit each week. The search engine has also been redesigned to cater for those tricky German titles we have trouble spelling plus for colour theorists the site's appearance can be changed from pink to orange or grey. To celebrate the relaunch, Trax2Burn is giving one RA reader the chance to win £20 worth of downloads each month for a year. That's £240 of music chosen by you. The store currently has approximately 400 labels, from the little Europeans like Connaisseur and Frankie Rec to biggies like Cocoon, Renaissance, Get Physical and Skint. The folks at Trax2Burn are working round the clock to add hundreds of new labels and tracks each week so by this time next year, or even next month you'll have ooodles of music to choose from. And with the money you've saved on music you can buy yourself a nice, heavy-duty hard drive to store your new tracks on. Or, buy even more music. Entering the competition is easy as pie.
