Detroit technoist Kevin Saunderson and electrohouse DJ/producer King Roc spin at the Chinese Laundry in Sydney this month.
Kevin Saunderson is best known for the Inner City classics 'Good Life' and 'Big Fun'. He's credited as one of the founding fathers of Detroit techno and has also been the director of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. On October 14 Saunderson brings his Elevator World Tour to Sydney. His set will include both house and techno DJ sets plus a live show incorporating many of his productions from 1986-2006.
At the end of the month, King Roc, another of the young electrohouse producers getting props in the UK, headlines The Laundry. Roc has released 12"s on Bugged Out, iO Music, Adrift Records plus remixed latest Junkie XL single 'Today' and the New Order classic 'True Faith'.
Other Saturday guests at The Chinese Laundry in October include Melbourne DJ T-rek and Jon Carter who will play the launch party for his recently released compilation for the club.
