  • GusGus release their fifth studio album “this time around bypassing the brain and heading straight for the heart.” ‘Forever’ will be released mid-February. GusGus have their roots in indie, releasing their first LP in 1996 on legendary renowned label 4AD. Three albums followed (‘Polydistortion’, ‘This Is Normal’ and ‘Gus Gus vs. T-World’), after which the twelve-member strong group were whittled down to three, Biggi Veira, Earth and President Bongo, alongside new female singer Earth, aka Urður Hákonardóttir. These days they’re more dance-oriented, releasing on Great Stuff and Darren Emerson’s label Underwater. For their new album, GusGus have called in the vocalists - Pall Oskar lends his voice to ‘Need In Me’ and Aaron-Carl guests on ‘Hold You’ – while they’ve got a big lineup of dance producers booked for the 12”s to follow: Moonbootica, Diringer, Mark Bell, Thor, DMS, Patrick Chardronnet, Tim Deluxe and Greg Churchill. For a taste of ‘Forever’, check this radio stream for an (odd) interview with Biggi Veira. GusGus have also got a respository of music videos and live clips at their website to get you in the mood. Mallflowers ‘Forever’ by GusGus will be released on new UK label Gung Ho! Records on Feb 26, 2007.
