- Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Stacey Pullen bring Hi-Tek Soul and the sound of the Motor City to the WMC. RA won’t be throwing our own WMC party in 2007. Instead we are throwing our support behind the Hi-Tek Soul night @ Pearl on Wednesday, March 21. Hi-Tek Soul is the club night that takes its name from the recent documentary 'High Tech Soul', which charts the birth and evolution of Detroit techno. Since the release of the film , Hi-Tek Soul nights hosted by Derrick May and featuring guests such as Rolando and Kevin Saunderson have taken place in London, Tokyo and San Francisco. The Hi-Tek Soul night that takes place at the Miami WMC next week which is headlined by not one, not two, but three key figures from the Detroit techno movement: Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Stacey Pullen. Support comes from the hard-to-box Lee Burridge as well as San Fran DJs Rooz and Nova. Hi-Tek Soul happens at Pearl on Nikki Beach on Wednesday, March 21, 2007.
