Daft Punk, aka Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (yes, that’s his name), head Stateside in July for a series of gigs.
The French electronic duo known for filter house, stormtrooper masks and amazing light shows kick off the tour in Los Angeles on July 21st. Support comes in the form of New York dance punks The Rapture, SebastiAn from the Ed Banger collective and relatively unknown electro act Kavinsky. Tickets for the Los Angeles, Denver and Seattle shows are on presale now at Ticketmaster (Password is ‘Robots’).
Daft Punk’s feature film ‘Electroma’, which debuted at Cannes in 2006, finally begins a theater run this month also, screening at the Cinema Du Patheon in Paris at the end of March 2007. Check out the trailer.
