- Dixon and Georg Levin bring a bit of soul back to Berlin on their debut longplayer ‘Make It Personal’.
Dixon and Georg Levin, aka Wahoo, promise to bring a bit of soul back to Berlin on their debut longplayer. ‘Make It Personal’ is out in August.
Georg Levin is a singer/songwriter/producer and Dixon is the mind behind rated deep house label Innervisions and the longrunning club night Innercity Visions at Weekend in Berlin. Their first single as Wahoo, ‘Make Em Shake It’, hit it big in 2004, getting a big re-release on Defected and wide acclaim, and this year they follow it up with ‘Take It Personal’, an album that promises to fuse house and soul, and according to the press notes, “stand against the current trends of minimal music in Berlin”.
Wahoo have roped in a fine list of collaborators for the album, including Felix from Basement Jaxx on lead single ‘I’m Your Lover’, Carl Craig, Paul Randolph from Jazzanova and Robert Owens. Check out a couple of tracks from their album at MySpace.
