  • Shlomi Aber follows up 'Freakside' with a home-listening debut album on Renaissance. 'State of No One' arrives in October. Aber is another Israeli talent who merges house and techno with a loose nod to progressive. Since teaming up with Guy Gerber on last year's 'Sea of Sand' for Cocoon, the young producer has come into his own with big singles such as 'Crop Duster and 'Freakside' - the latter is one of the biggest 12"s of 2007 so far, played by DJs as varied as Matthias Tanzmann, Marc Romboy and Hernan Cattaneo. Unlike Gerber's recent debut album, Aber has opted instead for an album of shorter tracks designed for home listening. "The idea of producing a whole album of (hopefully!) beautiful electronica really appealed to me," says Aber. "It's contemporary chill out I guess. But I'm not so bothered about finding a genre for it. I just hope people like it at the end of the day". The fifty-minute long twelve-tracker marries local influences, lo-fi electronics and even vocals, and includes new versions of 'Sea Of Sand' as well as lead single 'Moods'. Tracklist 1.
