  • Update: Guy Gerber has canceled his tour due to personal commitments. Israeli hotshot Guy Gerber wings over from Germany this month for his first taste of Oz clubbing. Prog labels Bedrock, Whoop! and Alternative Route must be pulling their hair out that they didn’t sign Gerber after he released the excellent 'Stoppage Time' in all its pitch-shifted glory in 2004. Gerber of course jumped ship to Uncle Sven's Cocoon stable in Frankfurt, and since then he's been making lush, trancey techno. Last year's 'Sea of Sand' (with fellow Israeli up-and-comer Shlomi Aber) was swimmingly good, as was this year’s Late Bloomers LP, not to mention his recent RA Podcast of course. For the lowdown on Mr. Gerber, check out his recent interview. Choice quote: “I’m sorry for those three records I did.” Which ones, Guy? Which ones? Gerber hits up Melbourne's OneSixOne on August 17 before heading to Hobart, Brisbane and finally Sydney. A good opportunity to catch Guy as he climbs towards a peak in his career – just don't request any early favourites...
