Prince might be the wise choice at the karaoke bar—trust us, anyone can sing his stuff—but covers have traditionally been a bit thin on the ground. Maybe people are intimidated? Anyway, the brave folks who have stepped up to the plate on Controversy include Belgian electro rockers Soulwax, dupsteppers Kode9 & Space Ape, house producers Osunlade and Rob Mello as well as non-dance acts including D’Angelo (soul), The Dynamics (reggae) and Hefner (Britpop).
