  • Carl Craig's music has performed in all manner of places from sweaty clubs to art museums, and now on February 1st, his work will finally gets its premiere at Carnegie Hall. Spanish classical pianist and techno fan Francesco Tristano Schlimé, fresh from his Not for Piano disc for Agoria's InFiné label, is set to perform Craig's 'Technology' at the Weill Recital Hall. Sandwiched in the middle of a program that includes Bach and 20th century avant-garde composer Luciano Berio, Schlimé will perform his adaptation of the piece from Craig's landmark Landcruising album. It won't be a new experience for Schlimé, however. He recently joined Craig onstage in Rome with the Innerzone Orchestra and, on Not for Piano, he covered a wide variety of electronic work, including Jeff Mills' 'The Bells' and Autechre's 'Overand'. This is both Schlimé and Craig's debut at the world famous concert hall.
