Fifth volume of Global Underground's Afterhours series is a triple-CD set of electro, tech house and synth-pop. Afterhours 5 arrives in March.
Afterhours is the more laidback, adventurous younger brother to GU's myriad compilation series, mixing up the more electronica-oriented cuts from the label alongside less traditional GU fare. Like past installments, disc one is the more leftfield of the three with selections from The Alan Parsons Project, Sebastien Tellier and Dinah Washingon. Disc two ups the tempo courtesy of remix dons Carl Craig, Trentemoller and Ewan Pearson while disc three includes cuts from GU acts such as Rogue Audio, Trafik and MOS. The release comes as an unmixed 4CD set, mixed 3CD pack and as a digital download bundle.
