Cologne label Traum celebrates 100 vinyl releases with a compilation of new and exclusive tracks.
Riley Reinhold’s label is one of the most long-lived in techno – and the secret to its success may be its open attitude to new talent. These guys actually listen to demos. New label compilation Traum 100 has its fair share of new faces, too, including Moonbeam, Bukaddor & Fishbeck, Super Flu – but mostly it’s a celebration of longtime Traum talent back in the saddle.
Traum watchers will be psyched to hear Traum 100 has coaxed a new track out of on-again-off-again San Francisco crew Broker/Dealer (remember ‘Boots and Pants?’), while Domink Eulberg’s new track is billed “a soundtrack from a 70’s hippy movie”. Minilogue´s contribution ‘Carnival’ promises to be stripped down and rhythmical, while Thomas Brinkmann’s ‘Aleks in Love’ is a sequencer-driven disco track. Gabriel Ananda’s ‘Lila Pause’ fuses post-Detroit and cool melodies, while Process’ ‘City-zen’ is a house track dubbed “Mr. Fingers transferred into 2008 with a slight touch of a true gentle English attitude.”
