- The IDM label released its first record in three years last week.
Former IDM stalwart Neo Ouija has risen from the ashes to begin anew.
The label, which closed up shop in 2005 after a five year run, has been restarted by Martin Hirsch and just released its first compilation, another edition in its acclaimed Cottage Industries series. The label has an ambitious agenda, with digital re-releases planned for much of its back catalogue—although no mention has been made whether or not Apparat's Shapemodes EP will see the same treatment.
Cottage Industries 5, however, has plenty to keep people interested in the new incarnation of the imprint. Tracks from recent RA podcaster Move D, Benjamin Brunn, Kangding Ray and 2562's A Made Up Sound moniker are highlights among the two CDs of downtempo and IDM.
