Melchior gives thanks in the States

- The celebrated Perlon artist will spend the holiday weekend in the States.
- Thomas Melchior will be spending Thanksgiving in the States. The celebrated Perlon producer is set to perform live tonight in New York for The Bunker's pre-Turkey Day shindig, and he will then make his way up to Detroit for a show on Saturday with Daniel Bell put on by Accelerate at Oslo. Melchior made his debut American appearance in 2008 over at New York's Bar 13, but it seems like he simply couldn't get enough: Which is good news for fans of his ultra-minimal live sets that perfectly encapsulate the genre's tenets. When asked about the hypnotic effect of repetition, perhaps Melchior himself put it best earlier this year in an RA feature: "It's a way to spin you out. In the beginning the brain goes 'Alright, I know this and it's repeating,' but after a while you lose consciousness and you don't listen to it anymore and something else takes over." If things go well this weekend, expect a lot of "something else taking over."
