  • Giles Smith and James Priestley will be hosting both Johnny D and Omar-S at their New Year's Eve party. The event will mark Oslo producer Johnny D's debut UK performance, and he'll be playing a live set of his charging polyrhythmic tech-house. As if that wasn't enough, they've also managed to rope in the self-proclaimed "grandson of Detroit techno," Omar-S. The Detroit-based producer has had a busy year with his own FXHE label, releasing 12-inches from Jason Fine and Luke Hess as well as producing "Psychotic Photosynthesis" (which also appears on Priestley's mix for this year's secretsundaze compilation). The night will be held at Shoreditch's Village Underground, which holds a capacity of 1000. If the popularity of their regular parties is anything to go by, it might be a good idea to snap tickets up for this sooner rather than later, as this special line-up is almost certain to cause a sell out.
