  • Acid house pioneer A Guy Called Gerald will play in Sydney next Friday. From "Voodoo Ray" all the way through to this year's "In Ya Head" on Perlon, Gerald Simpson has been on the cutting edge of the electronic music scene for 20 years. That's why the Future Classic label are bringing the man down to Oz for a party which is set to be held in the intimate 250 capacity basement of the Civic Theatre. Simpson—per usual—will play live with opening sets on the cards from Peret Mako and Jamie Lloyd, who both release on the imprint. Unlike many artists who go down to the country for a short tour, Simpson's only other scheduled date at the moment is in Adelaide on New Year's Eve, so if you're on the east coast, this weekend will probably be the best time to see the man in the flesh.
