MDNGHT Records. The vision behind two people, Jacob Harrison (Jay Cub) and Joe Sagar (Don Found). Both baptized in the love of electronic music from a relatively young age, these two young men wanted to give something back to the underground scene that's welcomed them over the years. Wanting to share their love for music with any and all who are willing.
Driven by their passion for UK orientated music, it's only natural that they paid close attention to the early dubstep sounds that arose from a blend of 2-step/ukg and dub, wildly produced by Loefah, Mala and Burial to name but, a few. As the years passed and the sound evolved they found their hearts getting drawn towards 4x4 beats and bigger, louder kick drums, they found a new lust for techno and acid house. Heavily influenced by the likes of Objekt, Boddika, Marcel Dettmann, Blawan and many many more. Their love for techno was nourished for several years, but they always wanted more, still being madly in love with the techno orientated sound they strived to find something that pushed even the boundaries of Berlins greatest achievement . Thus, we move onto their treasure, UK Bass/UKT. UK bass is a blend of all things UKG/Dubstep/2-Step yet with the hard-hitting techno edge, which you will be able to see throughout their dj'ing styles, productions and releases.
