- Here comes the third release on YO and boy is there excitement here. After YO-002 SideKick 'Respond' smashed into the top spot on the Balance Charts, we see a definite class follow-up with the Portuguese duo of Mr Groove and Vergas. This was one of the tracks dropped at the long endearing Deep Dish set at Space this WMC gone.
Original mix
Sinister beats and deep bass action gets the track going immediately. A space-like sample which sounds like a light saber from Star Wars cuts in and out giving it a bit of an edge. A female vocal repeats the title over and over in different patterns while layered basslines give off a very flowing feel. Once the track is fully on its way, an infectious synth gets unleashed with stabbing and echoing elements. The production is timeless and the insatiable thirst for smooth beats has been met.
Wet Dream remix
I can see where wet dreams came from in this remix. The track oozes into a toughed out bassline which feels like it has been somewhat muffled. Plently of power and feeling with melodic hooks feeding over the soft, sustained synth chords. Once in the breakdown, the stabbing low sounds drive the track into the beat then disappear into another lush breakdown. Quite a nice b-side.
