Wonderland Avenue – Journeyman / Primo Deluxo

  • Wonderland Avenue are back on Whoop! to deliver 2 more quality cuts. Better known for their work under the guise of Trisco, Harvey & Jim experienced much success a few years back with the very massive 'Muzak'. This time around, both 'Journeyman' and 'Primo Deluxo' are sure to be just as big on dancefloors worldwide. On the a-side is ’Journeyman’. From the word go this is a driving affair. The progressive synth from the outset gives this a nice flow, quite similar to their remix of Trisco’s ‘Muzak’. The kick has plenty of balls while the spoken vocal is quite average. Some nice melodies intertwine with the driving synth to good effect, but overall its clear that this is one epic driving anthem. Big track. On the flip is ’Primo Deluxo’. Not as straight to the point as its brother on the flip, this production has a quirkier edge. Not to say that it doesn’t chug along at a reasonable pace as it is also quite driving. Electro melodies is also the way of this track with some bouncing effects. The beats are up-tempo, and overall you can’t help but think that this has a nice old school videogame sound to it. It’s very fun indeed. A good return for the lads and for Whoop! Be sure to give this one a listen in record stores
