- Swedish production outfit Zoo Brasil (aka Laid) join forces with vocalist Derek Conyer to bring you the next release on Airtight Records. They provide a deep house original mix as well as a remix of their very own production on the flip, this time under their Laid guise.
The Original mix begins with the vocal talents of Derek while the smooth deep sounds and delicate beats flow softly along. The track maintains a pretty similar flow throughout, using the vocals as a guide for the productions progression. A solid outing for the house head.
The Laid Mix on the flip is a more chunky affair and has a very addictive acid like hook. The beats take a quirkier direction making it a true tech house production while the vocals take more of a backseat in this remix. Deep into the production some tripped out effects give the production another quirky edge, making this a pretty solid remix. Definitely for those who like their music with some different elements than the norm.
A pretty good all round release from Airtight, with the real impressive moments coming from the Laid remix.
