  • Confi-Dance Records sees their third release and it is not to be missed. Mick Burns set the pace with Blue Haze "Greedy Planet" and Gazor "Stabilized". A hard act to follow but Subsky did it all to well with this one. It must be something in the air in Istanbul Turkey because his productions are peak time madness to say the least, he finally is getting the respect after 8 years of producing. "Not Yet" is quite an older track, finished in September of 2001 and given to Moshic to be featured on his Essential Mix was where it all started for this track. A minor intro warms the engine up for the tribalness of the track. Giving you a heavy feel already dark stabs slowly make their way into the mix as the shadow to the light synth pad. The break hits echoing an evil feel with subtle vocals telling you to stop and look at life. The beat builds to the originating pace with a lovely synth line that waves above it all. The vocal appears throughout the rest of the track just to remind you that he is still there. This is Subsky's favorite track that he has produced thus far and for good reason. Scheduled for release in November so keep your eyes peeled and set about ten bucks aside. "Hirakira" sets itself on the flip giving this combo the perfect touch and balance. You might have heard this one on Phil Davy's Sound Elements guest mix that he did for Unified Culture dot Net. Having the same tribal feel as "Not Yet" but with a harder and more metallic sound. A simple three note bassline steps around the tribal tom soaked beat. Big room lines make their presence know in the break but thi biggest one of them all phases its way over them all with like the big tracks of 99. This break really builds your awareness to Subsky's skills as a producer. Back in the swing of things the onminous line peels the beat back one more time and lets it go to continue the job. A very nice follow up to Strawberry Fields if I must say.
