BlueRoomProject – Pacific Flat

  • CP Recordings have made a pretty good start to their label with 2 solid releases from Paul Lancaster and Shmuel Flash. Their third release comes from US producers, Blueroomproject, with a track called Pacific Flat. As well as the original mix, the release also comes with a remix by Belgian duo Pole folder & CP. The Original Mix is quite a unique production. The track has an eerie flow to it without any real peaks or drops, but it works quite well, with unique soundscapes and atmospheric elements working the magic in the track. A nice bubbly melodic pattern weaves its way underneath the drums giving it a bit of a retro vibe too. The Pole Folder & CP Mix on the flip is pretty impressive to say the least. It has a pretty similar flow to the original with the addition of some smooth subtle synths and a nice melody as it builds. The beauty of this production comes midway though, as effected vocal lines work well with stabbing effects, all while the quirky little melodies continue with the drums in its shadow. Another pretty good release for CP, with the Australian release in Halogen vs. Nash T up next, spread over 2 discs. In the meantime, this release is more then worthy.
