- Next up on Black & White records is a two tracker from Kingpin, with Mambo on the a-side and Human on the flip.
Mambo as the name would suggest is a delicate tribal production that consists of smooth tribal beats, a chanting mambo vocal hook and a nice deep flowing baseline that gives the track a good groovy flow. Pretty good throughout, Mambo is quite a solid tune with many good features.
Human on the flip is not as strong as Mambo was. The beats are quite solid, while the baseline is perhaps a little too subtle and not as complimentary as it was on the a-side. It has some strong tribal elements throughout, but one must feel that it lacks a certain edge.
A pretty good release from Black & White, with Mambo certainly the highlight.
