The title track, Under The Bombs, is the track on the a-side, and it’s a slow and dubby breakbeat production. Deep guitar baselines unite with slow solid breakbeats, and a very influential talking male vocal that rides the track for the most part. Not a bad track but nothing too amazing.
Back To Basics on the flip is a slightly better production to the a-side. The vocal is thankfully not the focal point, with a solid baseline working the track quite well, while twisted effects work furiously. The track has quite a funky edge to it as well which helps it along nicely.
Overall this is quite a nice a release from F-Com, and certainly a little different from what we have heard from the label in the past.
