- Ericke makes his debut on the LMR imprint with a release that is sure to Make You Smile. Already seeing support from the likes of Pete Tong and John Digweed this release on Sander’s LMR label is quite an impressive set of tunes.
The Original Mix on the a-side gets the ball rolling with some smooth beats opening the track alongside a quirky electrified vocal sample, that introduces the thick chunky baseline that roars into action once injected. It grooves along nicely until it hits the main breakdown midway in where atmospheric effects meet the twisted vocal sample, which again leads nicely into the main beats and booming base.
On the flip is a remix from veteran producer Dr. Kucho, and he turns in a pretty impressive reworking. Using the trademark percussive sounds of his work, he also adds in unique touches such as a quirky violin riff as well as acid hooks making this remix quite unique, as well as a great addition to a pretty strong original mix.
All in all a pretty good release from LMR, and with Sander at the helm, it is clear to see why quality like this is getting signed to the label.
