- RSL’s previous single was voted the Worldwide Single of the Year by Radio 1 listeners in the UK, this new single is another future classic that has already received plays on Giles Peterson’s weekly Radio 1 show.
“The Mast” begins with a sultry soulful vocal, and then gradually percussive elements are brought in to the mix. The song is filled with natural organic sounds, with very cool trumpet and saxophone parts throughout. It has a very deep soulful jazz-influenced vibe that also has a dance-floor friendly appeal. The vocals are sensational, and quality of the production is also top class. On the flip, is “Wesley Beats”, a stripped down percussive re-work for the DJ’s – a perfect tool for serious DJ workouts.
