  • BJ:01 is Dr Bob Jones’s first release on TrusttheDJ.com and to be honest upon inserting it into my CD player I was unsure of what to expect. Instantly the album begins quite nicely on its journey with East West Connection’s drum mix of ‘Rollin’, which is a fresh start with a jazzy yet tribal style of funky beats. It continues on seemly between its moving style of funky grooves… There are many great vocal samples throughout the album that most of you would have heard before, featuring in many other well famous tracks and remixes. The Basement Boys Mix of Rhythmcentric’s track ‘New School Fusion’ is impressive to say the least with its great latin dance style beats and great vocals that have been used in some of Lee Burridge’s latest sets. As Bob Jones states on the inside cover of this album “…its part of my collection of soulful grooves that kick up the more eclectic dance floors across the planet. All of these tracks are proven winners and have that all important ‘feel good factor’ about them.” and describe this album better I cannot. It is just that, a great mixture of feel good funky grooving soulful tracks with some great sexy vocals that will keep you dancing for years. This album is an internet only release that is available from www.doctorbobjones.com, if funk is your think then this is for you!
