The Israeli duo aim for the dance floor on their first EP for Phantasy Sound.
On the title track, soft drumming is overtaken by bleepy, hypnotising synths, then distorted mumbling and animal-like noises. It's a menagerie of sounds ripe for dusty desert raves and eyes-closed moments that unfurl in slo-mo, even as a cheeky Hebrew vocal comes in—"Ani ("I am") trance, Ani house, Ani techno," it pleads. "Teroof" saunters in on a stuttering bassline and light machine-gun percussion before more nonsensical ramblings and the roar of racing cars send the mood topsy-turvy. "Bad Time Story" lives up to its title with uneasy acid synths and a quickened pulse. It's the yin to the more playful yang that precedes it.
