- Nookie, a man who has been at the forefront of the drum and bass scene for so many years releases his first album for Good Looking Records. Entitled In @ thedeepend, it not only showcases some smooth drum and bass but also delves into some deeper house.
Highlights include the first tune of the album, “Disillusion”, with downtempo drum and bass and swooshing atmospheric sounds in the background. “Innerspace” also impresses and really demonstrates how talented Nookie really is in the studio, as he samples space like sounds and beautiful chords. “Dimension Of Sound” delves into the more funkier side of Nookie while the last track of the album “My Lovin’” delivers a more housier element with vocals supplied by Ebony Simone.
All in all, a quite impressive album, and definitely one designed for a more relaxed home listening experience.
