  • "Easy" was a digital-only afterthought on Mikkel Sönnischen's debut album last year. Now it's his signature tune. The runaway hit has all the makings of anthem: a distant vocal chopped into a melody that feels poignant yet vague enough to be a blank canvas for whatever emotions you want to project onto it. Throw in the deflated chords and you've got a spiritual sibling to Pachanga Boys' "Time," a potent tool that could end a set on a reflective note or send a sunrise set into overdrive. Now "Easy" gets its own vinyl release. That would be worth the price alone, but there's also "1989," a lighter, more buoyant track with a pumping trance lead and a pseudo-orchestral breakdown. These are the kind of tracks can rocket a little-known producer into stardom in just a few months.
