- Sevdaliza is one of those unyielding artists who channel their rawest emotions into their music. In an interview with Dazed, she expressed pity for people who aren't as committed to authenticity. "I could never live like that," she said. "I want to be a full person." "Shrabang," the title track off Sevdaliza's latest self-titled LP, is heartrending. Minimalist instrumentation is sparingly intercepted with dubstep wubs, recalling the grim tone of Mezzanine-era Massive Attack. At the heart of the cut is her mournful vibrato, as she recites a letter of sorts to a former lover now estranged.
