  • When we talk about the next artist to come out of the drill scene, we're thinking of one of many teenagers from the 32 boroughs in the capital of the United Kingdom. Usually these artists come from a district which has already established its musical credibility, making it easier for new talent to break through. Juice Menace defies these conventions. The unapologetically gangsta rapper from Wales with her gnarly lyrics and callous attitude clearly hasn't come into the game to waste time; she's here to change the current male-dominated landscape of UK rap. There currently isn't a lot of drill coming out of Wales, so Juice Menace could possibly be the pioneer of a nation's drill scene. "No Speaking" is an energetic three minutes of pure unadulterated bars, with the opening line ‘'Face all black so I pree their eyes, in jeeps we creep, we come like spies'" being clear proof. The track is filled with skippy flows and intricate rhyme schemes as well as quick cuts of humorous recounts displaying her savage nature like: "He needed some clout, and I wanted some top… after that make my man run to the shops." If there's anything that "No Speaking" shows us, it's that the drill scene is now more diverse than it's ever been. Women like Juice Menace constantly remind us that we need to stop looking at UK drill music as some sort of London boy's club. Though this is her first drill track, it's clear to see she has a future in the scene with her bouncy flows and unapologetic attitude.
