- Voted Best Club USA 2005 by Urb Magazine, Cielo jumpstarted this year’s WMC in regal fashion, hosting its fete at non other than the majestic Versace mansion.
The former quarters of the famed Italian designer, complete with elaborate golden ornaments and grandiose fountainheads, provided a quintessential backdrop for the sounds of some of deep house’s most prized music masters.
Miguel Migs ignited the earlier part of the session with some smooth sailing deep tracks, followed by a more upbeat and exquisite track selection by Martin Solveig and then Tedd Patterson. At the peak of the night was Roger Sanchez who banged out old deep house favorites laced with hard pumping tribal beats. Cielo’s bash set quite the precedence for the week, stirring things up with a serious energy explosion right at the start of the conference.
