- This first release from new Turkish label Angora records has been getting some heavyweight support from the likes of Digweed,Cattaneo,Sasha and Tiesto to name a few . With a classic Noel Sanger track that features Dauby on vocals and a big hitting Yunus remix on first listening its obvious why this is.
The original mix of Forget has an organic quality to it from its beginning with subtle tribal beats and clean percussion blended together neatly . This is added to with a slightly rumbling bassline before the vocals of Dauby start to take control of the track . As this is taking place a wash of atmospheric melodies and stabby sounds lurk around in the distance mimicking the melody that has seeped out through the pensive mood. This mix of elements build the tension before stripping back for the break as once again the vocals take the centre in dictating an emotive flow before the beat kicks in,forging ahead with ease. Noel Sanger has been one of the silent forces of the scene having amassed a lengthy discography of over a hundred tracks in a career that goes back 15 years . Today he still injects that something special into a production that gives it a life of its own.
The remix comes from Red Flag Collective headman and Bedrock records favourite Yunus Guvenen.He's been otherwise engaged of late serving in his country but if his recent Let go&Fever tracks are anything to go by he's got a another statement to make.He grabs Sanger's original by the balls and knocks out a big room bomb that's jam packed with steroidic beats , electroish synthlines and an awesome old style vibe through use of cutting up the vocals. This is powerful music in an unexpected shape.
