- Another new artist enters the roster of Silver Planet Recordings, a label that has continually impressed in the last year. Acid Mutants are the new face and they deliver their debut on the label with a two tracker.
The title track, Acid Mutant is first up, and as the name may suggest that track is a fusion of acid riffs and smooth basslines. For the first half the track flows smoothly with a constant acid line and some crisp and quirky beats. The track breakdown in unique fashion midway in and then launches into a melodic fusion full of quirky sounds and effects.
OK I Like You features some more heavier drums and a quite muddled arrangement for the first half, as it changes shape through its beats and array of effects. The track builds however, and launches itself into another array of acid lines and strings late in the piece.
The two tracks here are certainly quite unique which are more then welcome, however, its quirky nature and sometimes lack of flow may turn some off.
